By visiting the tourist boat, the committee examined the reality of the situation it had reached as a result of the devastating fire accident that consumed all its contents of furniture, equipment and devices as a result of an electrical short circuit that set fire to the boat and hit a large part of the berth prepared for its Russians on it.
Adel Al-Masry, head of the Chamber of Tourism Establishments and Restaurants, said that the visit of the committee comes within the framework of examining the devastating effects of the fire, as well as supporting, collaborating and supporting a member of the Chamber’s General Assembly, stressing that the Chamber spares no effort to provide support and technical and technical advice for such a case. In addition to what is stipulated in the Chamber’s regulation of the size of the material contribution provided in such cases by the Takaful Fund.
The committee expressed their sadness at the poor condition of the floating restaurant “Kholoud El-Nile”, which represented the cycle of Nile tourism in the delta region and was a tourist and recreational landmark, and that the fire had completely destroyed the tourist restaurant.
For his part, Ali Hassan, Director General of the General Administration of Inspection of Tourist Establishments, said that the visit was commissioned by leaders in the hotel and tourism establishments sector in the ministry to find out the effects of the fire, examine and inspect the findings of the “vessel’s condition” and submit an initial report to be presented to the officials until their findings are completed. The prosecution’s investigations and the criminal investigation report and the Civil Protection Department, to be presented to the officials in accordance with the provisions of tourism laws and regulations.
