Hamdi Imam, head of the Division of Employment Abroad in the Chamber of Commerce, revealed the date of the Egyptian workers’ travel to Libya and the latest procedures for travel for reconstruction.

In statements to “Masrawy”, Imam stressed that Egypt aims to travel all skilled workers to Libya, with priority in the beginning for the field of contracting, architects, engineers, builders, plumbers, oysters, engravers and other professions and other works.

He pointed out that the travel of Egyptian workers to Libya will not take place before the Libyan parliamentary elections that will take place next December, stressing that Egypt will not begin to obtain security approvals until after these elections, provided that matters are settled politically and security.

The (Egyptian-Libyan) Technical Committee in Tripoli had recently signed the electronic linking protocol between the two countries to facilitate the movement of manpower, according to what was agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministries of Manpower in Egypt and Libya, in preparation for the return of Egyptian workers to Tripoli to participate in the reconstruction.

The Libyan Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed Al-Rida witnessed the signing ceremony of the electronic link protocol between Egypt and Libya at the conclusion of the meetings of the technical committee between the two countries. The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, in the presence of members of the Technical Committee from both sides.

The Egyptian-Libyan Technical Committee held its meetings at the office of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation in Tripoli over a period of 4 days, during which it discussed the procedures related to the implementation of the electronic link project to facilitate the movement of manpower, according to what was agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries on regulating the Libyan labor market and how to attract Egyptian workers. and facilitate its procedures.
