Agriculture: Egypt is on the path to achieving self-sufficiency in crops

Dr. Muhammad Al-Qursh, Assistant Minister of Agriculture, said that the state has taken care of the agricultural file from all its axes during the past seven years.

Al-Qarsh added, during a telephone interview with the media, Dina Esmat, on her “Today” program, broadcast on the DMC satellite channel, this Friday evening, that the “Decent Life” initiative is concerned with changing the face of life for the Egyptian farmer, commenting: “Egypt is on the path to achieving self-sufficiency from crops”.

The Assistant Minister of Agriculture indicated that the total cost, population mass and agricultural geographic area covered by the “Dignified Life” initiative did not exist before in the world.

The Assistant Minister of Agriculture confirmed that, during the current period, 2.2 million feddans were added to agricultural reclamation in the New Delta project, in addition to 1.5 million feddans in the new Egyptian rural project, in addition to Sinai projects covering about 500 thousand feddans.
