Unification Minister Lee In-young said on the 20th that peace and unification through inter-Korean cooperation could become the ‘overtaking lane’ of Korea’s growth and development.
Minister Lee said this at the opening remarks of the ‘2021 Pikonomi Cup Peace Economy Virtual Investment Youth Demo Day’ held at the Kim Gu Memorial Hall in Seoul on the same day, and said, “If this new path is opened in earnest, it will achieve faster and more advanced development in all fields than before, in name and reality, in Northeast Asia. We will be proudly positioned as a middle-class country,” he said.
“Right now, peace on the Korean Peninsula is still unstable and inter-Korean relations remain at a stalemate for a long time,” he said. .
The event was prepared as a forum for young people to discover ideas for a peace economy and propose business plans.
Lastly, Minister Lee said, “I ask that you join us in the changes and challenges on the Korean Peninsula in the future.
