Adel Al-Masry, head of the Chamber of Tourism Establishments and Restaurants, announced holding talks with a number of Egyptian companies specialized in international conferences and exhibitions and as agents of international companies in Egypt to hold a number of tourism events under the auspices of the Chamber.

According to today’s statement, this comes with the aim of activating the tourism of Egyptian exhibitions and conferences and attracting international brands to participate in these events that support food and food tourism, as well as food health, safety and security.

Al-Masry said: After its participation and sponsorship of the HACE-Hotel Expo 2021 for the second year in a row, from 15 to 17 November 2021 at the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, and inaugurated by Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, the Chamber is investing these events to confirm On the quality, guarantee and safety of Egyptian food provided in establishments, shops and restaurants that are subject to supervision and control by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and that these restaurants apply all international requirements and standards related to the safety, security and health of food before and after serving food in its final form.

He pointed out that the Chamber is in the process of setting up a competition in culinary arts among students of colleges and tourism institutes that have concluded cooperation agreements with them to participate in it under the auspices of the Chamber and in cooperation with the largest companies and food brands to spread awareness among students of the standards, controls and requirements of safe food, and award prizes to distinguished teams by a jury It includes experienced elements in the fields of culinary arts and food safety, to prepare a generation of chefs capable of preserving the culture, identity and arts of Egyptian cuisine and its leadership, on the sidelines of the events expected to be held during the coming period.

Al-Masry stressed the importance of holding such events and events that include specialized exhibitions in which the latest equipment and tools are presented, the latest technology and development in the hotel, hospitality and kitchen industry, in addition to its distinction by providing products and integrated solutions for the hospitality industry for cafes and restaurants, in addition to providing services Software and IT solutions specialized in the management of hotels, restaurants and cafes, and represent a great opportunity for all dealers in the tourism sector to learn about the latest technologies in the sector and achieve real competition between companies in providing high quality and distinguished tourism services.
