Minister of Industry: There is a trend from the Egyptian state to the African market

Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, said that holding the COMESA summit in Cairo is for the purpose of receiving the presidency of this summit from Madagascar, noting that there is a clear agenda, in which all relations between us and the member states that are concerned with the ongoing relations are discussed in an integrated manner.

In her speech during the press conference, to announce the arrangements for Egypt to host the COMESA summit, today, Sunday, Jameh added that there is a trend from the state to the African market, and the biggest evidence of this advantages, support and incentives for coordination to open export markets, especially in African countries.

She added that after President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi assumed the presidency of the COMESA, there must be an action plan that we put in place to take advantage of the opportunity of the presidency of Egypt this year and to come out with positive results, especially as it was reported that Egypt is one of the first countries in the COMESA grouping in the top export in the African group of COMESA. He explained: “We will work on an action plan as soon as President Sisi takes over the presidency to consolidate all the work that has been accomplished in previous periods.
