The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with the Egyptian Federation of Tourist Chambers and the Chamber of Hotel Establishments, launched the training program for training workers in the tourism sector in the field of health and food safety “HACCP”, under the title: “For Safe Tourism”.
According to today’s statement, the launch of this training program comes within the framework of the ministerial decision recently issued to organize the training system in hotel and tourist facilities and its commitment to providing workers in all departments there with the necessary training courses, each according to his specialization, which reflects the ministry’s keenness to develop the quality of services and raise the efficiency of the human element of workers. In the tourism sector and developing its skills and capabilities, which contributes to maintaining Egypt’s tourism reputation and raising its competitive position in the ranks of tourism countries in the world.
For her part, Dr. Suha Bahgat, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Training Affairs, indicated that this program was prepared by experts specialized in the field of health and food safety, and that it is scheduled to last for 4 months to include an 8-hour intensive training course for two days, stressing that The necessity of the commitment of all employees to attend these courses who are directly or indirectly related to the field of food and beverages in all establishments that provide food and beverages of all kinds.
Suha added that this training was implemented as a first stage in the Red Sea Governorate, noting that the training system will go according to a specific plan to include training all workers in the sector in all governorates at the level of the Republic to ensure a level of service worthy of Egypt’s tourism reputation.
