Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, said that the epidemiological situation in Egypt is stable during the current period, explaining: “I think we are at the end of the fourth wave on the ground and in intensive care rooms and hospitals.”

Taj El-Din stressed, during the first Egyptian satellite phone interview, today, Thursday, the importance of adhering to the precautionary and preventive measures, praising the measures taken by the Egyptian state and the high demand for vaccination campaigns in large numbers, which had a positive impact.

The President’s Health Adviser explained that the escape of viruses and mutants from immunity is a very natural phenomenon, and if Corona had not escaped from immunity, it would not have been able to mutate into alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and delta plus, explaining: “With each new mutant, there is a lot of talk about the speed of The spread and increase in numbers and this is expected, because the virus mutates and changes its shape so that it can live and enter the human body.”

Taj al-Din concluded: “After a while, another mutant will appear, and every little bit we will hear about a new mutant with new phenomena, but vaccination increases the body’s immunity to resist viruses, and the Corona epidemic is present and is still a long time, and we hope that there will be global control in the middle of 2022.
