Both the ruling and opposition parties insist on ‘temple’… Communication data provision law should be amended

The system for providing communication data to investigative and intelligence agencies, which has been neglected by the ruling and opposition political parties for over 10 years, is based on the Telecommunications Business Act. This provision has its roots in the Telecommunications Act, which was amended in 1977 during the Yushin rule and entered into force in March of the following year. At that time, a clause was inserted stating that ‘if there is a request for inspection and submission of documents related to public communication services from the relevant agency due to the need for investigation’, this clause was inserted.
