The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy signed a cooperation protocol with the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and Fawry Dahab for electronic services, to provide the latest electronic payment methods.
The ministry stated, in a statement today, Tuesday, that the agreement also includes the supply of the latest payment machines that operate on the Android system to be operated at service centers to implement payments for any dues in exchange for services, as well as to the collectors who collect electricity bills to collect bills from citizens electronically.
She indicated that the number of machines is 7,900, to be supplied in stages, starting with the supply of 1,200 machines during the first half of 2022, then supplying the rest of the equipment and devices during the second half of the year.
She pointed out that the agreement contributes to facilitating the service for subscribers by increasing the electronic payment outlets, their spread and proximity to the subscriber throughout the Republic.
Through this system, the concept of financial inclusion will also be applied, which aims to provide appropriate financial services to all individuals and institutions through official channels (banks – post offices – specialized companies), in addition to achieving state trends, including the recommendations of the Supreme Council of Payments to activate electronic collection services for electricity bills. And charging prepaid meter cards.
