Dr. Ghada Khalil, Director of the 2030 Pioneers Project at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, said that there is a real leap that occurs this year in the fourth edition of the World Youth Forum, which is the inclusion of all the entrepreneurship file as one of the topics discussed by the forum during the workshops or sessions themselves, which is what It reflects the necessity and interest of the political leadership and the youth to place the entrepreneurship file among the priorities discussed by the forum this year.
In a telephone interview with the “Khabar Al-Youm” program on “ONE” channel today, Tuesday, Ghada added that entrepreneurship contributes to creating job opportunities, diversifying sources of income and generating economic development in general, explaining that Egypt has benefited a lot from the experiences of other countries, but it should not. To forget that Egypt, according to the latest statistics, was the first in the Middle East and North Africa in terms of investing in startups.
She added that Egypt ranked fourth in terms of the number of startups, saying: “We are talking about a country that has a very large number of startups, and the nature and level of startups in it amounts to being the first in the Middle East and Africa in terms of investment,” explaining that the investor does not pump Investments in emerging companies unless the idea of this company is well thought out, successful and capable of development in the future.
The Director of the Rowad 2030 Project at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development confirmed that Egypt has made very great efforts in the past period, as all ministries are working alongside the private sector, saying: “Very great efforts have been made in this field in recent years, and we are witnessing its results now.
