President Moon Jae-in invited the seven religious leaders to the Blue House to hold a New Year’s greetings meeting. President Moon held a luncheon meeting with religious leaders at the main building of the Blue House from 12 noon today to express his gratitude for the continued cooperation of the religious community for quarantine in the Corona situation. “If I am more greedy as president, I think that the last remaining task in democracy in our country is to heal excessive hostility and division among the people and move forward to a democracy of unity and harmony,” he said. I’m worried because it seems like I’m going backwards. I would like to ask the leaders to lead well for an integrated society and integrated democracy.” At the meeting on this day, Monk Wonhaeng, general director of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, who is the representative chairman of the Korean Association of Religious Leaders, and Monk Doyong, Jongjeong of the Cheontae Order of Korean Buddhism, senior vice president of the Association of Korean Buddhist Orders, Rev. Pastors, Bishop Lee Yong-hoon, chairperson of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea, Archbishop Jeong Sun-taek, Archbishop of Seoul, Catholic Archbishop Na Sang-ho, Won Buddhist Correction Director, Jin-woo Son, Director of Sungkyunkwan, Beom-doo Song, Decree of Chondoism, and Chairman Lee Beom-chang of the Korean National Council of Religions also attended.
