Shinhan Life’s social contribution foundation, Shinhan Life Shining Foundation (Chairman Seong Dae-gyu) announced on the 12th that it will provide 8,000 healthy meals worth 400 million won to 1,000 children from disadvantaged groups in Seoul and Gyeongin, who are at risk of skipping meals during winter vacation.

This support project, which has been expanded since last year, was prepared for children who are at risk of skipping meals at a time when school meals are not available due to the start of winter vacation and it is difficult to use the care center due to the prolonged Corona 19.

Last year, a total of 4,400 healthy meals were provided to 800 children during winter and summer vacations. The healthy diet is provided fresh once a week through early morning delivery for a total of 8 weeks. The diet consisted of a total of 9 items, including main dishes, side dishes, and soups, by professional nutritionists considering the nutrients and tastes required for growing children.

To minimize the risk of cooking, we also considered the safety of children, such as allowing them to be heated using a microwave oven. Chairman Sung Dae-gyu said, “I hope that our children, the leaders of the future, can spend a pleasant winter vacation without worrying about meals. I will lean,” he said.
