Books – Youssef Afifi:

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will start, in a few days, the first Umrah trips during the month of February, after a break of more than two years due to the Corona pandemic.

It is scheduled to carry out Umrah trips for the months (Rajab, Shaaban and Ramadan) of the current Hijri year, in light of the precautionary measures that contribute to preserving the health of citizens.

The Ministry of Tourism had set health controls and conditions for pilgrims, before performing Umrah, as follows:

Receiving approved vaccine doses against corona, including the booster dose (for those who received the last dose of the vaccine 6 months ago).

Obtaining a medical certificate issued by one of the approved centers of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population.

– Conducting a PCR analysis 72 hours before traveling, and another analysis before returning the pilgrim to Egypt from Saudi Arabia.

– Conducting ID Now COVID-19Test analysis upon arrival at Egyptian ports.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities calls on all tourism companies organizing Umrah trips to abide by all the provisions of these rules and procedures so that the company does not fall under the law.
