Mohamed Saafan, Minister of Manpower, reviewed a report through the Ministry’s Labor Representation Office at the Egyptian Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of its round-the-clock follow-up with labor offices, the conditions of Egyptian workers in countries of work after the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

Haitham Saad Al-Din, the official spokesman and media advisor to the Ministry of Manpower, explained that the report received by the minister from the labor attaché Walid Abdul Razzaq Ahmed, head of the labor office in Jeddah, pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will start from tomorrow, Wednesday, to implement new rules for departures and arrivals, while Regarding the Corona vaccine.

The labor attaché in Jeddah said, in his report to the Minister of Manpower, that these rules require that when citizens leave outside the Kingdom, they take the third booster dose of the (Covid-19) vaccine for those who have spent 3 months from receiving the second dose, with the exception of age groups who are less than 16 years, or the excluded categories, according to what appears in the “Tawakkalna” application.

The labor attaché, Walid Abdel Razek, explained that the rules obligate all those coming to the Kingdom, including citizens – regardless of their immunization status – to submit a negative result (an approved PCR test, or an approved test for rapid antigens of the Corona virus (Covid-19 Antigen Test) within 48 hours of The date of departure or entry to the Kingdom, with the exception of those under 8 years old, taking into account the regulations of countries of origin related to HIV testing procedures for children.

Citizens whose tests results show they are infected with the Corona virus are allowed to come to or enter the Kingdom – after 7 days have passed from the date of taking the positive sample for those who completed receiving the approved vaccine doses in the Kingdom, and 10 days from the date of taking the positive sample for those who did not complete receiving the approved vaccine doses in the Kingdom. .​
