Ace Insurance announced that it held an award ceremony to select 16 scholarship students for the 2nd term of the ‘Chubb Innovation Fund’ and deliver a total of 40 million won in scholarships.

The Chubb Innovation Fund, first launched in 2021, is Ace Insurance’s scholarship system that supports various activities necessary for excellent college students who are experiencing financial difficulties to realize their dreams. Scholarships are not limited to tuition support, but scholarships can be used for any purpose such as obtaining a certificate, studying a language, hobbies, or purchasing learning devices to realize their dreams.

Ace Insurance, together with the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) ‘Partners for the Future’, selected 17 scholarship students last year and applied for it, and this year also selected 16 scholarship students for the second semester.

Students selected as beneficiaries will be offered scholarships and career coaching sessions to develop practical skills. Career coaching is a mentoring program conducted in the form of talent donations by executives and employees performing major duties of Ace Insurance. Only applicants will be given the opportunity to apply for the ‘Chubb Career Dream’, a university student internship program operated by Ace Insurance.

The students selected as beneficiaries of the Chubb Innovation Fund revealed various support motives for realizing their dreams, such as publishing a book on the issue of mentally ill patients or preparing for a competition. Students expressed their impressions, saying, “Through the Chubb Innovation Fund, you can receive career coaching as well as financial support, which will be of more practical help.”

Edward Cobb, president of Ace Insurance, said, “It is our role as a corporate citizen to fulfill our social responsibility to support outstanding students who continue to pursue their dreams despite economic difficulties. We will do our best to provide practical help to young talents in realizing their dreams through various support programs such as support opportunities.”

Meanwhile, Ace Insurance won the Seoul Special Mayor’s Commendation in December last year in recognition of its continuous support for underprivileged children, youth and youth in the local community.
